The UK's vinyl revival is a sustained boom, with sales growing for over 15 years, driven by younger generations (Gen Z/Millennials) seeking tangible music experiences, better sound, and collector's items, leading to record highs not seen since the 1990s, with new releases dominating sales alongside older titles and promotions from cultural events like Record Store Day.

There's still extremely hard work to be done. Here we have the Rapattack Sound Crew describing various Bass cabinets after returning from the Carnival at around 7am to put the equipment to bed on Tuesday morning.
For decades, sound system culture has been central to the UK music industry, helping to shape genres including reggae, dub, jungle, garage, drum and bass, and more recently, grime and dubstep. Sound system culture originated in Jamaica in the 1950s and migrated to the UK with the Windrush generation, swiftly becoming a cornerstone of urban musical expression... custom-built systems have served as the bass-driven foundation for some of the UK’s most renowned musical movements.
